Ad-din Foundation was established in 1980 with the aim of assisting the underprivileged majority in Bangladesh. Its first project was to build an orphanage in Jessore. During its three decades of development, Ad-din has expanded its existence with diverse projects in several parts of the country.
Ad-din's current projects include Hospitals and Nursing Training Institutions in Dhaka, Jessore and Kushtia, Medical Colleges in Dhaka and Jessore, a Women's Institute of Medical Technology at Jessore and Mobile Eye clinics, projects on prevention of HIV/AIDS, safe Water and Sanitation, Health Insurance, Maternal-Child Health-Family planning and Integrated Health and Microfinance.
Ad-din Hospital Jessore was established in 1985 with the aim of providing affordable quality care. Ad-din chain of Hospitals are now recognized as centers of excellence acclaimed for their quality, affordability and patient friendliness.
In 2011, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh accorded approval to Ad-din Sakina Medical College (ASMC).
Ad-din Sakina Medical College has been able to secure an excellent and dedicated team of faculty members. Given the resources at its disposal, ASMC plans to develop outstanding medical graduates who are both excellent in their clinical practice and equally conscious about their obligation.
